🎯 Your mission

We are looking for a Partner Success Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg (Gauteng). In this role, you will be the driving force behind our clubs' success, focusing on high-level strategic discussions and product adoption. You will act as a Key Account Manager and Business Developer, ensuring that sports clubs in South Africa not only join Playtomic but transform the way they operate. If you have a proactive attitude, analytical mind, and the ability to persuade clubs to embrace the future of racket sports, we want you!

👩🏽‍💻 What you’ll be doing

  • Own and manage all onboarding referrals, ensuring rapid response times and a seamless partner experience from first contact to go-live.

  • Initiate contact with each club within one working day, driving immediate engagement and momentum using approved communication frameworks.

  • Proactively track, manage, and accelerate each club’s onboarding progress, identifying and removing blockers to reduce time-to-live.

  • Ensure full and accurate implementation of Playtomic branding across all club touchpoints, maintaining brand consistency and professional standards.

  • Lead structured follow-ups and online onboarding sessions to drive completion of all setup requirements, including pricing strategies, memberships, pre-opening offers, and operational readiness.

  • Deliver high-impact training sessions ahead of go-live, ensuring clubs are confident, सक्षम, and ready to actively use the platform from day one.

  • Post-Onboarding Responsibilities (Tier 3–5 Clubs):

  • Provide targeted 1:1 support to underperforming or high-potential clubs, driving deeper platform adoption and improved performance.

  • Plan and execute monthly webinars focused on new features, commercial opportunities, and best practices to increase usage and revenue generation.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze long-tail club activity, identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

  • Design and execute retention and engagement strategies based on data insights, with a clear focus on improving activation, usage, and long-term partner value.

  • Actively support and participate in local events, activations, and club visits to strengthen relationships, increase visibility, and drive partner success.

👥 Who you’ll be playing with

You'll be working closely with our country manager in South Africa, and the wider regional team. You will be part of a high-performance squad dedicated to digitalizing the racket sports industry in South Africa.

🦄 Our Ideal "Player"

  • Experience: +2 years as a Key Account Manager (KAM), Business Developer, or in SaaS/Tech onboarding. We value hands-on experience and a proven track record over specific degrees.

  • Education: BA in Marketing, Business, or Administration is advantageous.

  • Strategic & Persuasive: Strong communication and negotiation skills. You don't just explain the product; you convince clubs to work differently.

  • Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to tracking club progress and market trends.

  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with technical configurations, hosting online webinars, and using CRMs (Hubspot experience is a major plus).

  • Proactive & Self-Starter: You have a "hunger" to learn, are quick-witted, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

  • Languages: Native English preferred.

  • Logistics: Based in Gauteng (Johannesburg/Pretoria). A valid driver’s license and own car are required for club visits (15% travel).

🤓 Extra points

  • Experience in the Padel or Tennis industry (huge plus!).

  • Previous experience managing sports clubs.

  • Background in SaaS, Apps, or the Tech industry.
