We are looking for a Freelance CRM & CDP Integration Engineer (6 months) who will own the end-to-end technical setup of our Braze and Customer Data Platform (Rudderstack) integrations. You will architect event schemas, connect backend systems, and build high-performance data pipelines that empower personalized, automated, and data-driven customer engagement at scale.
Project Description: The goal of this project is to build a robust and scalable customer data infrastructure by integrating Braze (our CRM) with Rudderstack (our Customer Data Platform). This infrastructure will serve as the single source of truth for all customer interactions, enabling our teams to deliver personalized, automated, and data-driven customer engagement at scale.
This initiative is critical for transforming our marketing strategy from broad campaigns to targeted, intelligent actions backed by trusted, real-time data.

Project End Date: 6 months
Hours: 8h/week for approx. 6weeks, 4h/week later on
Key Deliverables:
- Data Architecture: Architect and define a unified event schema that serves as the single source of truth for all customer interactions.
- Data Pipelines: Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines to seamlessly connect backend systems with our Braze and Rudderstack platforms.
- Identity Resolution: Implement a comprehensive strategy for identity resolution to create a complete, 360-degree view of the customer.
Platform Optimization: Ensure efficient and optimized usage of Braze Data Points to maximize our platform investment.
Required skills:
- Strong experience with Customer Data Platforms (Rudderstack, Segment, mParticle, or similar)
- Experience working with Braze (or a similar lifecycle marketing platform) with proven experience in events & attribute architecture
- Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for integration and data engineering tasks
- Proficiency with REST APIs, Webhooks, and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, identity resolution, and user lifecycle tracking
- Ability to optimize Braze Data Point usage and structure scalable segmentation data
- Had worked within CRM and other stakeholders
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with warehouse-first architectures (Snowflake, BigQuery) and tools like dbt/Airflow
- Experience in personalization logic (Braze Liquid, connected content)
- Exposure to BI & analytics (Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
- Knowledge of subscription lifecycle data (e.g., free trial, paid plans, churn states)
- Understanding of data privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA)
